Cosmic Reading: Kanawha County Public Library Teen Summer Reading Club back to page menu

Teens, earn prizes by reading anything you want this summer during the Word Bites Teen Summer Reading Club. You have until August 29 to complete the program by reading or listening to just seven books.

If you’re 12-19 years old, and still in high school, this Summer Library Club is for you! Read, or listen, and win! You may use any paper book, e-book, audiobook, or graphic novel you like!

The rules are simple. During the program, check out materials from your local library, read them, then fill out a paper entry form or log your entries online at KCPL’s website under Word Bites

Check out our Facebook page, Kanawha County Public Library Teen Services. Like our page to get daily updates, vote in contests and stay current with all of our upcoming events.

Once you've logged seven entries you'll earn your choice of an ear bud splitter/stand or a pair of KCPL retractable ear buds! Everyone who completes the program wins!

But wait, there’s more! Keep reading and have a chance to keep winning! Three people from each location who read the most books will receive a sling backpack with attached cell phone holder. One lucky reader will win an iPod Nano, provided by The Friends of The Library Foundation. To be eligible for prizes, complete and submit your entry form (paper form or online) by close of business on Friday, August 29.
